Community East Hospital – This Summer, Community East Hospital will be hosting a bi-weekly Farmer’s Market on Wednesdays. Starting in June, neighbors will be able to purchase fresh, locally grown produce from the stand in the parking lot of the hospital.

Dates: June 22, 29 July 6, 13 20, 27 August 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 and September 7, 14, 21, 28.

Ellenburger Park - Picking up from last year, the Irvington Farmer’s Market will be held in Ellenburger Park on Sundays from noon to 3 PM. The dates are as follows: June 12th, July10th, August 7th, September 11th, and October 9th.

Mark your calendars, the next Little Flower Neighborhood Association meeting will be held on September 20th in the Little Flower School Cafeteria. We plan to have two very important guests at this meeting. Melina Kennedy, the Democratic candidate for Mayor of Indianapolis plans to attend and speak. We also will have a representative from Mayor Greg Ballard’s campaign. This will be a very interesting and exciting meeting, make sure you attend and bring your neighbors!

Pogue’s Run Grocer, Now Open!

Pogue’s Run Grocer, the grocery store for the Indy Food Co-Op, is now open! They are located at 2828 E. 10th Street, just East of Rural. This great new store offers local and organically grown produce, a full Deli, and many other items for your family. For more information see:

LFNA Memberships are way down in the last year. Our newsletter lost funding over a year ago and ever since memberships have been dwindling out. Are you a current member? Have you let your membership lapse?

LFNA is currently searching for new funding for our newsletter, as well as other projects. We hope to publish a newsletter in the coming month but still need funding, and we will certainly need additional funding afterwards. Do you know someone who might be interested in helping?

Neighborhood membership helps us all accomplish our goals and fulfill various civic duties that we carry out in the neighborhood’s name. Your donation of time and financial support will help us maintain a clean, safe neighborhood!
